Contact Me

One thing I love is a good discussion with interesting people. If you want to get in touch with me, apart from here on the blog, here’s how to do it.

If you like novels that touch on this subject, try “Tongues of Flame” by Tim Parks or the book that is directly about the Alpha course “The Revelations” by Alex Preston.
Tim Parks’ is a gem of a novel that won the Betty Trask award, and in it he reveals the power struggle between those who wish to “break” a person, using religious “drama”…. and those who chose to be individuals and think for themselves.
The last scene is so chilling, that I won’t spoil it for you, but the point that Parks is making is that an ordinary Church of England family can be wrecked to the point of death, by the heresy of the charismatic movement.

    Hi there,

I found your blog via Freshly Pressed (congrats, by the way). I started a new blog in August. Having read a few of your posts, including this one and your post about coming out, I think you might enjoy my blog — and I’d love to have you visit and comment. I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how religion is a choice and that it’s easy to switch or leave a religion; I’ve been arguing against this view. Your blog demonstrates clearly that it is not so easy to find the right path. Whether you read/like my blog or not, I wish you the best in your search.
